Privacy regulation - MDS
Personal data is processed in the performance of our services. In our privacy regulations you can read how we collect personal data and how we handle it. It explains which data are processed by us and why, and how long the data are stored.
What data do we process?
This depends on the relationship you have with us. If your employer is a client of MDS, your personal data will be processed by us when we provide care to you. This happens, for example, when you participate in a Preventive Medical Examination or when you visit the Occupational Health and Safety consultation. This includes your name, address, date of birth and telephone number. If we actually provide (or have provided) care to you, we also process data about your health. We also process clients' personal data if this is necessary to provide our services.
Reports that we prepare for employers or, for example, an employee participation body, only contain data at group level. They therefore do not contain personal data that can be traced back to an individual.
Data from employers that are processed are contact details (such as company name, address, zip code, place of residence, telephone number and email address) and the data required for financial administration such as invoice number, Chamber of Commerce number, IBAN number and amounts.
Where is the data stored?
The personal data will be stored by us in your personal file. This file is stored digitally in the special software applications we work with within the health and safety service. These applications are well secured against loss and theft of your personal data. We ensure the safe processing of your data.
Who has access to your data?
Within MDS, only authorized persons have access to your personal data. The data can only be accessed by the company doctor treating you and any persons involved in your care. In addition, the company doctor may consult with a fellow company doctor about your file if that would benefit your care.
Does MDS provide information to third parties?
In compliance with applicable laws and regulations, MDS provides information to:
- the employer of clients in the case of absence counseling, where it concerns only the following data: name and date of birth, date of the last consultation, conclusions regarding the possibilities of resumption of work by the person concerned, process-oriented counseling agreements;
- third parties on the basis of a legal obligation.
Does MDS meet the requirements of the law with this?
MDS handles personal data with extreme care and complies with the laws and regulations on the protection of personal data, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) and related laws and regulations.
Right to access data
You have the right to see what personal data we process about you. To do so, you can request access to your personal file. You can also submit a request for an overview of the personal data we process about you. A request can be made in writing to us:

You may also submit a request to change personal data if, in your opinion, these data are incorrect. Restriction of processing can also be requested and objection to certain use of the data can be made. For more information, please contact us by email at: administratie@mds-keuring.nl. MDS makes every effort to process your request or objection as quickly as possible. You will be contacted within a maximum of four weeks.
Is the privacy statement ever changed?
